Fall & Halloween 2026 in Las Vegas and Henderson: The Family Short List

October in the valley is the reward for surviving August. The mornings finally cool, the orchards open, and every recreation center in the county starts stacking decorated trunks in its parking lot.

This is the short list — the plans worth putting on the family calendar, with the fine print notated so you don't find it out at the gate. Pumpkins and harvest days

• Fall Harvest 2026 at The Gilcrease Orchard · September 26 – October 31. Pumpkin and produce picking, wagon rides, a corn maze and live music at the valley's working orchard. As posted: $4 weekdays, $6 weekends plus fees, pumpkins $0.75 a pound, and children 5 and under need no ticket. Worth knowing: entry is by timed ticket — arrive within 15 minutes of your slot, because tickets can't be refunded or moved. Bring your own shears and a wagon.
• Summerlin Library Outdoor Fall Festival · Saturday, October 3, 10:00–14:00. Free. Pumpkin decorating, live music, food trucks, face painting, balloon artists and a used book fair. Walk in — supplies are first come, first served.
• Heritage Harvest Festival · Saturday, November 7, 11:00–14:00 at the Heritage Park Senior Facility in Henderson. Free to attend, with free treats. As posted: an optional $5 wristband covers face painting, the petting zoo, bounce houses, the train and games.

The Halloween evenings worth a ticket

• HallOVeen at the Magical Forest · October 2 – 31 at Opportunity Village. Rides, midway games, a carousel, a train and a trick-or-treat street. As posted: $24, ages 3 and under free, 17:30–21:00 Sunday to Thursday and until 21:30 Friday and Saturday. Worth knowing: tickets are date-specific, the park is dark October 5–8, and it isn't entirely scare-free — there's a haunted walking path, so plan the route with little ones.
• Halloween Express Train · Weekends, October 10 – 25, from the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City. A 90-minute ride with a Monster Mash party and costume contest on board. Departures at 17:30, 18:30 and 19:30. Worth knowing: these nights sell out — buy the day tickets go on sale.
• Haunted Harvest at Springs Preserve · October 22 – 25, 18:00–20:30. Trick-or-treat stations, live entertainment and a Bootanical Garden. Worth knowing: tickets are online only and attendance is limited. Parking is free, with overflow at Meadows Mall. The Preserve is cashless and screens with metal detectors at entry.
• Haunt the Wetlands · Friday, October 23, 16:00–20:00 at Clark County Wetlands Park. A Creatures of the Night walk, a spooky maze and live animals, with timed entry. The county hasn't posted 2026 pricing yet — check before you go. Bring a flashlight.

A full week of free trunk-or-treats

Clark County's recreation centers run a trunk-or-treat almost every night of Halloween week. All free. Pick the one closest to home, or the one that fits bedtime.

• Wicked Whitney · Thursday, October 22, 17:30–20:30 at Whitney Recreation Center. Carnival games, no registration.
• Spooky Trails Trunk or Treat · Friday, October 23, 17:30–19:00 at Melvin Ennis Recreation Center. A short window, so arrive on time.
• Monster Mash & Movie Bash · Saturday, October 24, 16:00–20:00 at Hollywood Recreation Center. Carnival games, food trucks and bounce houses, ending with a movie — arriving late still works.
• Paradise Patch Trunk-or-Treat · Saturday, October 24, 18:00–20:00 at Paradise Recreation Center. Games and crafts.
• Boo Bridge · Monday, October 26, 16:00–18:00 at Cambridge Recreation Center. The earliest evening of the run — done before dinner.
• Into the Walnut-Verse · Tuesday, October 27, 18:00–20:00 at Walnut Recreation Center. Music, games, inflatables and a candy trail.
• Trunk or Treat at Helen Meyer · Wednesday, October 28, 18:00–20:00. There's a foam party — pack a change of clothes and a towel.
• Halloween Safe Night at Doolittle · Saturday, October 31, 17:00–21:00. A car show, vendors and family activities on Halloween night itself.

In Henderson, the city runs its own: City of Henderson Trunk or Treat · Thursday, October 29, 16:30–21:00 at Black Mountain Recreation Center. Registration is required and it's booked by time slot. Under-3s are free; the city lists no other price, so check when you register.

For the littlest costumes

• Halloween Carnival at Paseo Verde Library · Friday, October 9, 18:00–20:00 in Henderson. Free. Games, activities and a petting zoo, costumes welcome.
• Fall-O-Ween Fair at Enterprise Library · Saturday, October 17, 11:00–15:00. Free, walk in. Magic, face painting, shadow puppets and crafts. The costume contest is at 15:00, the very end — plan the nap around it.
• Halloween Little Makers · three mornings between October 26 and 29 at Green Valley Library in Henderson. Free STEAM storytime, costumes encouraged. It runs on a pass system, so arrive early.

Movies under the stars

Town Square's lawn screens a free family movie at sundown on Fridays. No outside food or drinks, and bring a blanket.

Further south, Silverado Ranch Park runs a Friday fall movie series with free popcorn. Movies begin at 18:00 on the south side of the park, behind the baseball fields, and other food is for purchase.
